Eagles: Pump the Brakes on Makai Lemon

After trading A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots, the Philadelphia Eagles filled their gap at WR by drafting Makai Lemon, joining DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks. With injuries keeping him off the field throughout training camp, Lemon is on the outside looking in, sitting behind the duo on the depth chart.

With that said, if you are in a deep league and have the roster space to do so, stash Lemon on your bench, giving yourself a potential WR2 later on in the year should Smith or Wicks need to miss any time. Before drafting Lemon, make sure you have other high-floor WRs you can lean on who can slot into a starting role to avoid suffering a massive loss of production.

Giants: Cam Skattebo in Line for a Large Workload

Fresh off a devastating season-ending injury, Cam Skattebo is set to make his return to the field, anchoring the New York Giants' backfield as their RB1. After the hiring of John Harbaugh, as well as the addition of Najee Harris, question marks were raised in regard to what Skattebo’s workload would look like out of the gate.

Per recent reports, Skattebo has been asked by Harbaugh if he can handle up to 20 carries per game, brushing aside any regression that would come in a limited role while recovering from injury. A high usage rate would also give Skattebo a great opportunity to compete with the top of the position, especially if he carves out a larger role as a pass catcher.

Broncos: Clarity in the RB Room

After drafting Jonah Coleman with their fourth-round pick in the NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos RB room is once again crowded, joining the likes of J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey. With the trio all expected to play a role in some form or fashion, drafters have been hesitant, waiting until we get clarity on how all of them will be used.

Heading into the season, recent reports have indicated Coleman will be taking a back seat to Dobbins while Harvey continues to be used in passing downs. Should Dobbins go down with an injury, Coleman is expected to fill the void, making him worth a pick in the later rounds of your draft as a valuable handcuff.

Bears: Swift Avoids a Setback

Chicago fans held their collective breath after it was reported that D’Andre Swift had to exit Thursday’s practice with soreness in his abdomen, joining Kyle Monangai on the sideline, who is dealing with a knee issue. Fortunately for Swift, it turned out to be nothing more than a cramp.

Smith’s production has played a major role in the Bears' turnaround on offense, ranking well above league average in yards over expected per attempt while averaging nearly five yards per carry. At his current ADP, target Swift before the position drops off, securing a multi-tool player operating in an explosive offense.
